![]() You need v-sync to actively synchronise them (but this usually introduces higher input latency, so you have to try and decide which option you prefer). However, just because they are multiple of each other, doesn't mean they will be always synchronised. I definitely know what you mean though, at one point I've played games only at 100+ FPS, and once I got used to how nice and smooth it is, going back to even 60 FPS wasn't exactly ideal, and 30 FPS usually was painful to watch (and I'm not even exaggerating :P). ms) then it can by synchronised with 30 FPS signal, and will simply display each frame twice (2 * 16.666. That's because 30 FPS means a frame every 33.333. This mod is using Unitys motion interpolation feature to increase the framerate, and some game elements are still locked to 30 FPS. I was thinking about buying the game until i saw that it was capped at 30fps. As long as refreshrate and framerate are multiple of each other - they can by synchronised (with v-sync or variable refresh rate). I don't remember exact values and reasons why it is the case, but even variable refresh rate monitors (with g-sync or freesync) can't go too low, and whenever they do receive a low FPS signal - they will just show these frames 2 or 3 times (at 2x or 3x refresh rate) and so on. ![]() The reason there are options higher than 30Hz, is because (as far as I know) there aren't any monitors or TVs that operate on such low refresh rates.
